Our Story
We have been making many dogs bark for their biscuits since 2020!
Shortly after McKenna adopted her first dog Roxie, she realized how hard it was to find good quality treats. She found herself standing in the aisles of pet stores for long periods of time unable to find any treats that were not filled with artificial preservatives, dyes, and unhealthy ingredients. Prior to adopting Roxie, McKenna worked at an animal hospital for 4 years as a veterinary assistant and client care specialist. She often encountered pets with allergies and food sensitivities and noticed that those conditions made it hard for owners to provide their pets with safe treats. As a result of her experience at the animal hospital along with her own personal struggles to find good quality treats, McKenna took to the kitchen with Roxie and started baking all-natural dog treats that every dog could safely enjoy! And BOOM Roxie’s Barkery was born!
The support from friends and family, along with her first-hand knowledge of other pet owners struggles, encouraged McKenna to start advertising and selling her homemade all-natural dog treats.
McKenna quickly saw how much pet owners and their pets were loving the biscuits. She received so much positive feedback from owners of extra picky pups and pups with dietary restrictions. Since so many pups were loving the treats McKenna knew that she needed to grow the business and offer more than just all-natural biscuits and share her treats with pups everywhere.
As of May 2022 Roxie’s Barkery is now a Barkery & Boutique offering our handmade all-natural treats, baked goods, and frozen treats as well as a large variety of high quality pet retail such as chews, toys, accessories, enrichment items, and even pet related items for humans!

McKenna
Owner & Founder
McKenna has a huge passion and love for animals, especially dogs. She has previously worked at an animal hospital, doggy daycare and completed a year of veterinary technician school. Having three dogs herself she knows first hand how hard it can be to find trustworthy healthy dog treats, which is why she opened Roxie’s Barkery. From McKenna’s years of experience working with animals and their owners, she knew she had the knowledge to offer treats that were not only all-natural but that had health benefits for pups as well. Based on her experience and education she also knew that she could create the perfect recipes that would be the solution for the many pups that suffer from food allergies and sensitivities. McKenna puts her absolute all into Roxie’s Barkery every single day, you can fully trust that she would not sell anything that she would not personally give to her dogs. McKenna is always continuing her education which allows her to continue to create amazing new treat recipes and ensures we carry only the best hight quality products.
Roxie and McKenna have a truly unbreakable bond. McKenna’s relationship with Roxie is a very big reason for everything she does and offers at Roxie’s Barkery, she want’s to help provide pet owners with the knowledge and products to give their fur-babies an amazing long, healthy life. She also likes to organize a variety of animal friendly events so that dog owners can have many memories and experiences with their pups that they can cherish forever! She is very passionate about not only helping pet owners give their pets an amazing life but also helping pet owners have an amazing healthy life with their pets filled with many amazing memories!

Roxie is McKenna’s best friend and the reason for it all! Roxie is a very spunky beagle mix. McKenna adopted her from Dog Star Rescue in 2020. Roxie loves her job as pup manager and head taste tester and takes it very seriously. If Roxie doesn’t like a biscuit flavor (not a regular occurrence) we don’t sell it! Her “barking good” approval applies to all of the treats we make and products we offer!
When Roxie has a day off from taste testing she loves to go on hikes, walks, car rides, visit her store to pick out some new snacks and toys, patrol the neighborhood from our living room windows and take lots of naps!

We take pride in all handmade, all-natural Roxie’s Barkery products being 100% safe and healthy for your pups. Our biscuits and baked goods are created by us. We do not re-create other recipes or take recipes off the internet. Our biscuits and baked goods are an original Roxie’s Barkery product! All of our products are of course "pup-approved" by our pup managers prior to sale. It's important to us that all of our biscuits and baked goods stay true to our "barking good" motto!
